Welcome to Intercambio!
Our mission is to build understanding, respect and friendship across cultures through educational and intercultural opportunities. Founded in 2001, we are an independent nonprofit organization that has spread its model across the country, serving over 10,000 people.
We Provide
- Affordable English Classes for adult immigrants taught by volunteers at students' homes, nonprofit agencies, and public buildings.
- Intercambio & Schools Together, matching English-learning parents with native English-speaking parents or teachers at diverse schools.
- Intercambio on Campuses, linking University students with immigrant workers on campuses.
- Special Topic Classes & Resource Workshops on topics such as financial literacy, business preparation, laws, health and citizenship.
- Building Cultural Awareness Trainings for both immigrant and non-immigrant communities.
- Intercultural Exchange through community events such as potlucks, camping trips, park clean-ups and our annual La Fiesta World Party (10/22/11).
